The #1 Mistake that Makes Your Immunity Supplement Useless
Share
If you’re not getting much sunlight because of the temperature or where you live in the country, you’re not getting vitamin D naturally.
That means that you have to supplement with it.
Research shows that you are 1.77 times more likely to get a viral infection if your vitamin D levels are low, so you should be taking it.
So how much should you be taking, and do you have vitamin D’s vital counterparts?
If you’re not taking certain vitamins and minerals with Vitamin D, it could be useless!
How You Should Be Taking Vitamin D
If you use vitamin D properly, your body can absorb it and activate it as an amazing defense for your body.
First, you want to make sure that you’re taking vitamin D3 and not D2, because D3 is the kind that gives you health benefits.
Meanwhile, vitamin D2 can actually have negative health impacts, which I made a video about here.
Vitamin D3 is super important because it can decrease your risk of a viral infection by 1.77 times and support immune health.
If you get your blood levels tested, your vitamin D3 levels should be at least above 30, but I would recommend keeping it above 50.
You also have to have vitamin K2 in the system to lower your risk of mortality and help you avoid arterial sclerosis if you’re taking mega-doses of vitamin D.
If you’re taking vitamin D over a long period of time, it can be toxic if you’re taking it without K2.
Beyond K2, if you want to convert the supplements you’re taking and the sunlight you’re getting into something your body can use, you need to take one more thing.
Magnesium
Magnesium is a requirement. I recommend taking 2,000-5,000 IUs of vitamin D3, 100-220 mg of vitamin K2, and then magnesium on top of that.
I did a ton of research to make the best vitamin D supplement, and here’s what’s in it.
One capsule has 2,000 IUs of D3, 210 mg of K2, vitamins A & E, and magnesium.
It also has zinc, which further helps with the absorption of vitamin D and is an immune-booster itself.
My vitamin D also contains lipoic acid, which allows the vitamin D to cross the blood-brain barrier so that it can get to your brain and be used there.
Vitamins D, K, A, and E are all fat-soluble, which means you have to eat fat in order to absorb it.
We put healthy fat in the form of coconut powder right into it.
If you watch my video on good vs. bad fats, you’ll see that good fats can support cell detoxification and have overall health benefits. If you’re taking vitamin D, you need all of these other things, and they are all included in the Livingood Daily Vitamin D.
