How To Clear Blocked Arteries And Prevent A Heart Attack

If you’re one of the millions of Americans who suffer from blocked arteries, you may be at risk for a heart attack. But don’t worry – there are ways to prevent and reverse this condition.
5 Ways to Clear Blocked Arteries & Prevent Heart Disease
In this blog post, I’m going to cover 5 effective, well-researched ways you can improve the health of your arteries. So read on for all the information you need to protect your cardiovascular health!
1. Don’t Overdo Calcium
Calcium is the main culprit when it comes to calcifying your arteries and increasing the risk of kidney stones.
We still want to include calcium in our diet from green leafy vegetables, nuts, and seeds. The problem with calcium arises when you have excessive amounts of calcium due to taking supplements.
Many of us take calcium so that it ends up in the bones, but how do we ensure that it ends up there?
2. Take Vitamin K2
Vitamin K2 transports the calcium in your blood to your bones, which keeps your arteries healthy and makes sure the calcium you consume is properly absorbed.
If you’re looking for good sources of vitamin K2 in foods, try adding the following to your diet:
- Fermented Foods
- Raw Cheeses
- Kombucha
- Sauerkraut
If you’re taking vitamin D3, it’s vital that you take vitamin K2 with it, especially if you’re concerned with the health of your heart and arteries. Research has shown that taking vitamin D3 supplements on their own can increase arterial plaque buildup.
Vitamin D3 takes calcium out of your blood and puts it into your arteries, whereas vitamin K2 takes the calcium out of your arteries and into your bones.
I recommend taking vitamin D3 supplements, but make sure you are taking them with vitamin K2. Research shows that the combination of these two decreases the hardening of the arteries by up to 8%.
3. Apple Cider Vinegar
Studies suggest that vinegar has effects on risk factors that are associated with the hardening of the arteries. Apple cider vinegar lowers blood sugar levels, which reduces inflammation in the arteries.
Studies point to apple cider vinegar as a great way to keep up with artery health.
4. Garlic
Garlic has phytochemicals in it that reduce the fatty layer that builds up around our arteries. It is also antisclerotic, which means it decreases scar tissue and plaque buildup in our arteries.
5. Cinnamon
Free radicals and oxidative stress are among the main causes of hardening of the arteries. When free radicals build up in the body, they can play a role in the creation of health problems such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases.
Antioxidant enzymes are needed to combat these free radicals. A great nutrient that has these is cinnamon. In a study, cinnamon was found to have an effective antioxidant effect, with enzymes that were able to eliminate free radicals in the arteries.
Putting just 1-2 teaspoons of cinnamon into your coffee, tea, or food is an easy way to keep your arteries clear and stay healthy.
If you’re looking for good varieties of cinnamon, I recommend taking either Ceylon or cassia. Cassia cinnamon has high amounts of warfarin, which is a natural blood thinner.
Summary
Make sure you’re increasing the intake of the following foods and nutrients:
- Calcium
- Vitamin K2
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Garlic
- Cinnamon
I recommend pairing these with rotational fasting, which will keep the amount of glucose and sugar in your body down, and keep you healthy.
