4. Care About Nutrients

We all know we need to eat more green foods that are nutrient-dense! Focus on getting green foods in every meal. Fuel your body with what it needs to thrive. You’re either eating your way to sickness or eating your way to health with every bite.

Add a handful of spinach in your morning smoothie, eat hummus with broccoli or cucumber as a side instead of french fries – and do a salad with dinner – or roasted vegetables. Adding greens powder in your water is another easy way to get those greens in every day!

5. Curb Your Consumption

We’ve been eating 3, 4, 5 even 6 times a day thinking that is what helps our metabolism and sustains us. How many times a day do you think our ancestors ate thousands of years ago? Definitely not 6! We are over-eating, too much and too often.

Fasting

The first place to start is breakfast. Literally, the word means breaking a fast. All night, when you’re sleeping, you’re not eating (that is fasting!). All you need to do is continue that momentum and don’t consume anything until noon.

When you’re body isn’t distracted by processing food – it burns up the excess fuel, and goes on to burn the stuff you want it to… FAT. Stay in fat-burning mode longer, give your body a rest from digesting food – and give it time to heal.
