Natural Treatments For Sleep Problems

Not sleeping well? Need quick and effective tips to help, and fast?  Avoid taking dangerous medications with serious side effects and try these practical, and simple, real health solutions to getting more restful sleep.

1. Assess Your Environment
Take a look at things in your environment such as: how much light is getting in, is there light from your computer or your phone, do you have a TV on?  If there is too much light it will keep your brain awake. Does your sleep time change daily? Find a regular sleep schedule that works for you and control your environment. Is it too hot or too cold? Find a temperature that is comfortable for you. The environment has to be right in order to get your body in a relaxed and deep sleep state.

2. Exercise
Sound like it would keep you awake and not put you to sleep?  It doesn’t matter what time of day; just get your cortisol, your stress hormone, down by exercising regularly. If exercising in the morning or in the afternoon works better best for you, that doesn’t matter, it is are you exercising regularly and balancing out your hormones

3. Better Nutrition
Keep your sugar intake to a minimum. Your body will receive the wrong source of energy by consuming too many sugars and carbohydrates. Your body is not meant to rest well with an energy source of sugar. Give your body good, clean nutrition and healthy fats as a clean energy source. This will help balance out hormones and adrenals. You can rest your adrenals many ways such as doing a Gut Reset, but nutrition is one key factor.

4. Essential Oils
Using essential oils such as lavender and bergamot. There are others that can benefit sleep, but these are two simple ones to start with.

5. Chiropractic Adjustments
Your nervous system controls every function of your body.  Start by having your nervous system analyzed and seeing if your body is working properly from the brain to the rest of the body. If there is interference on areas that control your sleep and your hormones that affect sleep you could be missing a key piece.
