Healthy Lunch Ideas for Office Jobs
Share
You’re in the middle of your workday and it’s time for lunch! What do you do to keep it healthy?
Healthy Take-Out Ideas
Some of us don’t get around to packing our lunch in the morning, so we decide to go grab something at a local grocery store. Here are some healthy examples:
Grocery Stores
You can usually get some level of a salad or a bowl with a healthy protein like chicken & some veggies at healthy grocery stores.
Burritos
Skip the tortilla & rice, and instead choose a bowl with meats, guacamole (healthy fats), and veggies.
Burgers
Skip the bun and choose just the burger (or even an extra burger) and get a salad on the side. Careful of those fries!
Fasting Through Lunch
Fasting means you’re extending your breakfast time until the afternoon. This allows your body a longer time to heal and actually burn fat. Best of all, you don’t have to worry about making breakfast every morning!
If you do have something in the morning, make it a green juice and just focus on getting some nutrients in. Bulletproof coffee is another option with good, healthy fats in it as well. Fasting is the easiest way to ensure you’re being healthy at work!
Healthy Snack Ideas
Healthy snacks to keep handy at work to help curb that appetite include:
Dry Roasted Nuts
Make sure they’re not roasted in oil, or play it safe and go for raw nuts. Great source of healthy fats!
Drinks
Coffee with healthy organic milk, almond milk or coconut milk is a great choice (again, healthy fats). Kombucha is another great drink to have on hand to aid in gut health, and of course, green juice is always a go-to to get healthy nutrients in.
Keeping healthy drinks and snacks around your workplace will help you fill up so that you’re not sabotaging your health during the workday.
