Drinking Just 1 Glass Of This Fixes Your Fatty Liver in 2 Weeks
Share
You could have fat accumulating in your liver right now and you wouldn’t even know it! A fatty liver may not sound like a big deal, but it can lead to liver disease and even cancer if left untreated.
If you’re looking for a natural, healthy solution that can upgrade your liver, look no further. This one simple drink can reduce the amount of fat in your liver by 50% in just 2 weeks.
Before we start to reduce the fat in our liver, it’s important to understand where it’s coming from.
Reduce Alcohol Consumption
A lot of the fat inside of our livers comes from the consumption of alcohol. When we drink, it creates a process called lipogenesis (conversion of fatty acids and glycerol into fats) which causes the liver to get backed up and gives it more to process and filter.
If you’re having more than a couple of drinks a day or week, you’re increasing the amount of fat in your liver.
Overconsumption
Overconsumption has also created widespread non-alcoholic liver disease. Even skinny people are dealing with this.
Many people assume that obese people are the only ones with liver problems because they store excess fat in the liver. 30%+ of Americans are obese, while 70% are overweight.
Some studies show that more skinny people have liver problems than people who are overweight. This comes down to the quality of your food. You could cut calories and lose weight, but does that make you healthy?
What can we start doing to make our livers happy in just 14 days?
Lower Carb Consumption
A study showed that lowering carbohydrate intake to under 50 grams a day lowers liver fat quickly. When your body goes into fat-burning mode instead of sugar-burning mode, you fuel your body with fat, including the fat inside of the liver.
The fewer carbohydrates you eat, the more your body is going to find a different fuel source, which is typically fat. Fat can turn protein into carbohydrates, which is why you don’t want to overdo protein.
The first place that your body starts to synthesize and break down fat is in your liver. A study was done that found that in 2 weeks, people lost 43% of the fat from their liver, and their waistline and weight hardly changed.
How is this possible?
Fats start to break down, and muscle is kept and maintained, while liver fat makes no outward appearance changes.
The liver is an area where fat deposits very quickly, but it’s also where it burns quickly.
Rotational Fasting
You don’t have to lower calorie content to burn liver fat. The people from the study were eating 3,000 calories a day, but they cut the number of carbs they consumed. For you, I recommend a process called rotational fasting.
Rotational fasting will help you change and clean up your nutrition. When you focus on eating real, clean foods, you get healthy and lose weight. You don’t lose weight and then get healthy.
The above study found not only that fat went away, but also that markers that indicate liver damage, such as high levels of alkaline phosphatase, were lowered. You can test for these markers on your bloodwork to know if you have liver damage.
Those numbers decreased within a 14-day period of time and even showed significant changes after one day. Rotational fasting is a great way to cut carbs and start relieving your liver of stress.
What Is Your Liver Hungry For?
The best food for your liver is something you can find in your grocery store today: lemons.
Lemons have a high amount of bioflavonoids, which are beneficial plant compounds.
A study was done that showed that when bioflavonoids attach to the outside of the liver, they block toxins from affecting the liver. They also start to bind the toxins that are already in the fat inside the liver.
I recommend squeezing fresh lemons into a glass of water in order to get the most nutrients out of them. Drink your infused water, and let the bioflavonoids get to work cleansing and protecting your liver.
Bonus Liver Support
Your liver also loves milk thistle. Milk thistle is a plant that is very high in a compound called silymarin, which attaches itself to the liver just like bioflavonoids do. The silymarin is also going to enhance glutathione, which is one of the most powerful antioxidants your liver has.
Studies show between 150-400 milligrams of milk thistle a day is a great dosage to be taking, and you should see results in the liver in 90-120 days.
Summary
The best liver treatment and support for you depend on your goals:
- For a quick response, cut carbohydrates out of your diet
- For continuing nourishment of the liver, drink lemon water
- For longer-term effects, eat milk thistle
Milk thistle is included in my collagen protein, which has multivitamins and glucomannan, a fiber that also helps the liver by keeping sugar down. I usually skip breakfast and just have lemon water with my collagen powder. Both of these combined are designed to protect my liver.
There are a few more foods that the liver loves to consume. If you want to know what they are and how to continue to protect your liver, check out my video on it here.
