Do These 3 Things Daily & Aging Will Almost Stop
Share
Do you want to slow down the aging process? Of course you do! Who doesn’t want to slow down time and look younger, longer?
Believe it or not, there are three simple things you can do every day to help achieve this goal.
If these methods are deployed properly, it can significantly slow down tiredness, stiffness, and old age.
Consume Curcumin
Curcumin is the main active compound that is found in the root turmeric.
Turmeric has been shown to stop the process called cellular senescence. This is a phenomenon characterized by the cessation of cell division inside of your body.
Your body is made up of trillions of cells, and these cells replicate every single day. When a cell has been copied over and over, it becomes less useful and can no longer be used by your body.
What Causes Cellular Senescence?
Cellular senescence can be caused by a variety of stressors ranging from environmental factors to internal damage.
Recent studies show that curcumin helps eliminate senescent cells and increases autophagy, which is the cell-recycling system inside of our body. In one animal study, curcumin extended the average life span by 26%.
Taking something like curcumin could extend your life by 10-20% more quality years. Curcumin is something that you should be putting in your body every single day, because it also reduces inflammation, which can accelerate aging in our body.
The only drawback is that curcumin doesn’t get absorbed very well when you eat it. Many suggest that you should take black pepper with it, which does increase the absorption of turmeric—but it does this by irritating the stomach.
If you already have inflammation, that irritation is the last thing you want.
Instead, you should emulsify turmeric, which puts it in a layer of fat, and gets it absorbed into your blood 30% more.
I had to look far and wide to find a proper emulsified turmeric that holds up to blood absorption; you can find here.
Take Fish Oil
New research suggests that omega-3 fish oil has a direct effect on the biological aging of your body by slowing down the rate at which DNA caps decay.
Those caps are called telomeres, which are made from copied strands of DNA and serve a similar function to bookends.
Everytime you create new cells, you are shortening your telomeres and increasing your age.
If telomeres get too short and the DNA is damaged, your cells stop dividing. Telomeres act as a biological alarm clock for our age, and their decay can vary from person to person.
Effects Of Omega-3 On Telomeres
U.S. scientists conducted research that looked at the effects of omega-3 fatty acids on telomeres. They took 608 people in a hospital setting that had heart disease, which is the number one chronic disease in the world.
At the start of the study, they studied the length of the patients’ telomeres. They also tested the amount of omega-3 in their system, which helps control inflammation.
They tested the same patients after 5 years, and there was a clear difference between those who took EPA and DHA (acids found in omega-3s) and those who didn’t. The people who took the most EPA and DHA had the least amount of telomere shortening. The patients who had the least amount of EPA and DHA had the fastest aging process.
These findings raise the possibility that omega-3 fatty acids may protect against cellular aging in patients with coronary artery disease.
EPA and DHA are two of the best anti-inflammatory, DNA-supporting, anti-aging omega-3s that there are.
Many fish oil supplements contain a lot of fillers, but when you filter those out, you can get a high concentration of EPA and DHA.
When you combine concentrated EPA and DHA with emulsified turmeric, the two of them help each other to get absorbed.
Stop Overtaxing Your Digestive System
When you overeat, your body constantly uses insulin to store and burn energy. Different foods are digested using different types of acid in your stomach, so different combinations of food can strain your system more.
For example, when you eat carbohydrates and proteins, your body has to work to digest both of these at the same time.
It’s a good idea to have carbs with vegetables instead, since they are digested using the same acid in our stomach.
By consuming large amounts of food, you’re not only spiking your insulin levels, but you’re asking the stomach to work twice as hard to break down multiple foods.
If we keep overtaxing our body, we never enter autophagy, which is the recycling system in our body.
If you’re going to have a meat-based meal, have it with vegetables and fruits. If you’re going to have a carb-heavy meal, have it without protein, and with fruits and vegetables.
Rotational Fasting
A good way to stop the aging process is by fasting. Many use intermittent fasting, but are disappointed when they plateau and stop losing weight.
Rotational fasting can help you keep losing weight, while stopping your aging process and help you feel younger.
One contributing factor to our age is that we are constantly eating. When we do this, we don’t give our body a chance to recover, because it’s constantly trying to digest food.
Rotational fasting gives your body a break from digesting food and gives it a chance to refresh your body and reset your aging.
If you want to know more about rotational fasting and how you can implement it into your diet, I made an entire training that covers it here.
