Walmart Bread | What to Look for When Buying Bread
Share
Did you know that within 4 seconds of hitting your mouth, white bread turns to sugar that is then absorbed into your bloodstream?
This absolutely skyrockets your insulin levels, which puts you right into fat-storing mode.
I’m going to show you how you can get bread at Walmart that’s not full of toxins and enriched flour.
Bread You Shouldn’t Buy
Wonder Bread is a popular brand of bread, but it has soybean oil, which is a rancid oil.
The reasons why these oils are such a problem are because they spike your insulin levels and congest your cells.
Having congested cells means that your cells will keep toxins and fats in and nutrients out.
That detoxifies us and prevents us from losing weight.
Wonder Bread might taste good, but it’s not good for you.
Bread You Should Buy
Now, you can still have bread and be healthy, and you can even find healthy bread for a good price at Walmart.
If you’re buying bread, the first thing that you want to look for is what kind of oil they use.
Sometimes they won’t have any oil, which is preferable.
If the bread does have oil, olive oil would be the only acceptable one.
The second thing you want to look out for is the wheat, to make sure it’s an organic whole grain wheat.
This means that the whole part of the grain is still intact.
They usually strip off the fibers, vitamins, and then they’re left with the little shell, which is what they make white bread out of.
Look for whole grain or organic bread, or seed-based bread, which has a lot of seeds on the outside like flax or sunflower seeds.
These are like healthy fat bombs, and are fantastic sources of omega-3, fiber, and nutrients for your system
The third thing you want to look for is for USDA-certified organic and non-GMO labels.
This means the grains used to make the bread are not sprayed with a bunch of chemicals.
Dave’s Killer Bread is a great brand you can find at Walmart.
It meets all of the qualifications for not having bad oils, being made of whole grains, and being USDA-certified organic and non-GMO.
Their Good Seed thin-sliced bread has 320 milligrams of omegas, 3 grams of fiber that will help negate the impact of any sugars, and 3 grams of protein.
They also have a protein bread, Power Seed, that includes 5 grams of protein.
Summary
You can still have bread, although I’d recommend cutting it out of your diet if you’re trying to lose weight or trying to get off of medications.
If you are going to eat bread, just make sure it has the proper type of oil, the right grains, and is organic and non-GMO.
You can get bread like that for a great price at Walmart!
