First, thermic foods are going to help you stay full longer.
Not only that, but your risk of conditions like Alzheimer’s, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure and cholesterol, and certain types of cancers could be decreased by eating them.
You’re going to have more energy throughout the day because these foods help control blood sugar levels and prevent insulin spikes.
Having more energy later in the day will improve your sleep because you’re using fewer caffeinated pick-me-ups in the afternoon.
Your digestion improves because these foods keep you satisfied, which means there are fewer carbs and calories going in.
These foods also support a good microbiome for a stronger immune system.
Half of an avocado has 16 grams of fat, which you may think is a lot to take in.
But what makes avocados a high-thermic food is their high magnesium content.
90% of the people reading this are deficient in magnesium, and it plays a crucial role in absorbing other nutrients.
