Doctor Reacts to the Viral Tiktok “Proffee” Craze

Proffee

Tiktok can provide us with great home remedies, but it can also show us crazy things that should not be done for our health.

Today, I’ll be reacting to one that I’ve used for a while, proffee, which is coffee with added protein. I’m going to give you 4 benefits of proffee, why you should include it in your life, and why I include it in mine.

Proffee (Protein + Coffee)

If you’re not a coffee lover, I’m not telling you to add it to your diet just for the sake of it. However, the number one source of antioxidants for Americans is coffee, and we don’t eat enough antioxidant-rich foods, so it can be a helpful addition.

Benefits of Coffee

If you’re very stressed, it might not be a good idea to drink coffee, because the caffeine can make anxiety worse. However, it has several benefits for energy, weight loss, and the liver.

If you’re drinking coffee, make sure it’s clean, organic coffee to avoid chemicals that can be included in processing. If you’re drinking decaf, make sure it’s made using a Swiss Water Process, which doesn’t use the chemicals used to extract caffeine in other methods.

Sources of Protein

When it comes to protein, the same rules apply: it has to be clean. A lot of people make proffee, but load it with toxic forms of protein like whey. If the animal you’re eating has a poor diet or antibiotics, that ends up in you.

If you’re using a whey-based supplement, you should use collagen instead. Whey provides dairy that we don’t need in our diet. Plus, 60-70% of the protein in your body is collagen. Collagen is involved with healing your gut and reduces inflammation.

I like to add a multivitamin to my proffee because I like to take everything together to make it simple. This vitamin has glucomannan and milk thistle that detox the liver and keep blood sugar down.

You should avoid artificial sweeteners because they will make you neurotoxic. They add sucralose, Ace-K, and sulfamide, which excite the brain cells to death.

You also want to avoid any fillers like synthetic vitamins or preservatives.

Health Benefits

Weight Loss

If you’re using something like collagen that has glucomannan and milk thistle, you’re going to feel more full and won’t eat as much.

Coffee also has the effect of suppressing appetite, which aids in weight loss.

I like to use proffee as a meal replacement in the morning in order to lose weight. I might also take green powder and water, but it’s a liquid breakfast. After that, I don’t eat until noon.

That’s a form of intermittent fasting that can lead to rotational fasting. If you want to learn more about this, I have a video that breaks it down for you here.

Retain Muscle

Proffee gives you a clean source of protein for breakfast and is an excellent alternative to fatty breakfast choices like bacon or eggs.

Pre-workout

I don’t use pre-workout snacks much myself, but you can use proffee as one. It’s a lot better than the toxic chemicals and synthetic enhancers contained in a lot of energy drinks, which are hard on the heart and can cause a stroke.

If you use collagen as a protein source, you’re not going to spike your insulin levels. I don’t recommend having proffee immediately after your workout; wait at least a couple of hours.

Convenience

I don’t have to think about breakfast, because I have the same thing every morning. I can even switch my coffee up with vanilla or chocolate collagen.

Proffee takes minutes to make, can be drunk on the way to work, and makes grocery bills a lot less expensive.

Proffee may be a great addition to your life. If you want to see a video of me making proffee, and what I’m using, you can check it out here.
